Incident
The former RUC Detective Constable had resigned from the force the previous October, though the terrorists claimed he had been working undercover and that he had admitted doing so during interrogation. They also said they had been attempting to kill him for some time.
The RUC, however, stated that the former Detective Constable had not retained any police involvement following his resignation from the force.
