Incident

Youth Counselor Ineasie Baker was stabbed and strangled to death at the Herman G. Stark Youth Correctional Facility. She was murdered in a supply closet, and her body was placed in a dumpster. Her body was later found in a landfill in nearby Pomona after the dumpster was emptied into a trash truck. The suspect, 24, was in the facility with a life sentence for rape and murder. He was convicted of her murder and sentenced to life without parole. Youth Counselor Baker had served with the California Youth Authority for 11 years.

Survivors

She was survived by her husband, two daughters, parents, two brothers, a sister, and a grandchild.
