Incident
Patrolman Stevens was struck by a vehicle and killed while investigating an earlier accident. He had walked onto one of the travel lanes to measure skid marks. Another motorist failed to see him and struck him. Patrolman Stevens had served with the Longview Police Department for seven years.
Survivors
He was survived by his wife and two children.
