Officer Harry Blumburg was killed in an automobile crash near the intersection of 51st Street and Park Avenue in Manhatten. He was responding to a burglar alarm at a local school.
Officer Blumburg had served with the New York City Police Department for four years. He was assigned to the 10th Precinct.
