Incident

Chief Deputy Gordon Leonard and Deputy Sheriff Ralph Hoy were killed in an automobile accident while transporting a prisoner. Their patrol car ran off the road and overturned, killing both deputies.

Chief Deputy Leonard had served with the DuPage County Sheriff's Office for three years.

Rest in peace always knowing that your service and sacrifice are always remembered.
