Incident
Killed alongside his wife and ten other civilians when a terrorist bomb exploded at La Mon House Restaurant in Comber, near Belfast, County Down, with insufficient warning being given. The terrorists’ target was a meeting of RUC officers at the restaurant but they had the wrong date. The meeting had taken place exactly one week earlier.
