Incident

Inspector George Mullikin drowned while taking part in an underwater dive for oyster samples in the Choptank River near Cambridge, Maryland. Inspector Mullikin was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and had served with the Maryland Natural Resources Police for 10 years.

Survivors

He was survived by his wife, mother, and four sisters.
