Incident

Killed alongside his colleague, PC Mornington Alfred Clements, when the police box in which they had taken shelter, at the junction of the Quadrant and Wallsend Road, was struck by a bomb during an enemy air raid.

PWRC Murray was a retired Police Inspector who rejoined the force to assist during the war.
