Incident
Police Officer Gary Hoffman succumbed to injuries sustained in an automobile accident 20 years earlier while responding to backup another officer. As he rounded a curve his patrol car left the roadway and overturned.
Officer Hoffman suffered a broken neck and was rendered a paraplegic. He remained in ill-health until passing away.
Officer Hoffman had served with the Woodstock Police Department for five years at the time of the accident.
Rest in peace and always know that your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
