Incident

Officer Edward Parker suffered a fatal heart attack following a vehicle pursuit of a motorcyclist.

He was found slumped behind the wheel of his patrol car and taken to a local hospital. He suffered two more heart attacks and died two days later.

Officer Parker had served with the California Highway Patrol for 10 years.

Survivors

He was survived by his wife and two children.
