Douglas Paul Hartman
Incident
Deputy Sheriff Douglas Hartman was shot and killed while serving a bench warrant on a theft suspect at an apartment complex at 1943 East Dent Street in Allentown. The suspect committed suicide shortly after the murder. Deputy Hartman had served with the Lehigh County Sheriff's Office for two years and previously served with the Lehigh University Police Department.

He was survived by his wife.
