Biography

On December 1st, 2022, Officer David C. Urbaniak of the Metra Police Department located in Chicago, IL suddenly passed away at the age of 34. Officer Urbaniak served with the Metra Police Department for five years. Officer Urbaniak held numerous positions over the course of his career including Field Training Officer, Special Operations Officer, Training Instructor, and was selected to be a participant in the Presidential Inauguration in 2021 where he was sworn in as a Deputy United States Marshall in Washington, D.C. Officer Urbaniak also proudly served with the United States Marine Corps and completed one tour in Afghanistan. He is survived by his father and mother, David and Christine, his wife Jolene, and his 3-year-old daughter, Lyla.
