Incident
Policeman Hawley was shot and killed when he attempted to break up a fight between to hobos. When Policeman Hawley attempted to break up the fight, one of the hobos drew a hidden pistol and shot Policeman Hawley, killing him. The suspect fled and was never captured, Despite the fact that a large posse being formed to search for him.
