Patrolman Clayton Graham was shot and killed by a man who was angry about getting a speeding ticket earlier in the day. When they stopped in front of Patrolman Graham's home, Patrolman Graham began to enter his personal vehicle when the man shot him. The 33-year-old suspect pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 25 years. Patrolman Graham was a U.S. Army veteran and Purple Heart recipient. He had served with the Atlantic City Police Department for 14 years.

Tributes

I served 1985 to 1993. You served too, before the badge - different uniform, same idea. You go where you are sent and you do not get to pick the call.
Patrolman Graham gave the Atlantic City Police Department 14 years.
Thank you for your service to the Atlantic City community, and for your service before it. Gone but never to be forgotten.
Rest easy, brother.
