Reserve Captain Christopher Feeney was directing traffic at the intersection of Hoxie and Warwick Avenues when he was struck and killed by the driver of a speeding auto.
The driver was charged with Driving to Endanger-Death Resulting.
Reserve Captain Feeney had served with the Warwick Police Department for over 15 years.
