Incident

Captain Hall was killed in an automobile accident while he and a citizen searched for stolen cars near Havelock Road. While attempting to negotiate a curve, the vehicle flipped over several times, trapping both occupants underneath it. Another officer found the two victims the next day.

Survivors

Captain Hall had served with the Lincoln Police Department for 20 years and was survived by his wife and four children.
