Agent Carl Hetrick was killed in a single-vehicle crash in front of 425 Market Street in Perry, Pennsylvania, while on duty. Agent Hetrick was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and had served with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board for nine years.

He was survived by his wife and five children.
