Special Agent Brice Woody succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained nine days earlier when he was shot by a teenage suspect while investigating a rock throwing incident involving a Southern Pacific train on the 19th Street Overpass in Oakland, California.

Agent Woody was a WWII veteran of the United States Marine Corps and had served with the Southern Pacific Railroad Police for 20 years.

Thank you for your service to the San Francisco community. Thank you for your service before it. Gone but never to be forgotten.
Rest easy, brother.
