Police Officer Arthur Weiss suffered a fatal heart attack while directing traffic at the intersection of Camden Street and Howard Street.

He was taken to Mercy Hospital after he notified his sergeant that he was feeling ill. He passed away a short time after arriving at the hospital.

Officer Weiss was survived by his wife and son.
