Incident
Patrolman Forbes was killed in a motorcycle accident while attempting to stop a speeding vehicle. Another car got in between the speeding vehicle and Patrolman Forbes' motorcycle and put on its right turn signal. As Patrolman Forbes attempted to pass the car on the left the car suddenly turned left and crashed into the motorcycle. He died from his injuries two days later. Patrolman Forbes had served with the Roselle Police Department for 11.5 years.
Survivors
He was survived by his wife, daughter, and two sons.
