Incident
On November 21, 1904, in the Town of Guayanilla, an opposing faction interrupted a political gathering and violence broke out. During the course of this incident, Policeman Souffront received a fatal gunshot wound. Policeman Souffront had been transferred from Ponce to Guayanilla only two months before.
