Incident
Fatally injured when his motorcycle was in collision with a car and a bus while on duty in Edinburgh, where he was seconded to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service to develop diversity training.
Alasdair joined the force in 1982, serving at Dunfermline, Dalgety Bay and Force HQ before his secondment in January 2003. Born in Malaysia he specialised in diversity issues and was the first Chairman of the new SEMPER Scotland support network.
He was survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
