Incident
Fatally wounded while on patrol in Walthamstow in the early hours when he stopped to question a suspect who had already killed twice. A violent struggle ensued during which Sergeant King was repeatedly stabbed in the head and body. Posthumously awarded the Queen’s Commendation for Brave Conduct.
