בן בתיה ונחום. עמוס נולד בלוב. כשעלה לארץ, התגורר עמוס בבנימינה ולאחר מכן עבר למושב פורת. אח"כ עבר לטירת יהודה. נולדו לו שמונה ילדים - שני בנים ושש בנות. עמוס אהב מאוד את ילדיו ותמיד עשה למענם. הוא נהנה לפתוח את ביתו לכבוד אורחיו, ותמיד רצה שיהיו סביבו אנשים כדי לשמוח ולשמח אותם. עמוס עבד בחקלאות ובסולל בונה. הוא אהב מאוד לעסוק בחקלאות, נטע זיתים ואפרסמון ותמיד ניסה את כוחו בעבודת האדמה. בהמשך דרכו עמוס התגייס למשמר הגבול. במג"ב הוא מצא מקום חם, אהב לעסוק בשיטור ו שירת בשדה התעופה ובבית דגן. מכיוון ששמר שבת, היה הולך לבסיס ברגל ומשם לבית הכנסת. ביום ז' בטבת תשמ"ח (28.12.1987) נפל סמל ראשון עמוס בעת שירותו. הוא נטמן בבית העלמין בסגולה, פתח תקווה.
