בן חיים. מרדכי נולד ביום ח' בכסלו תרע"ו (15.11.1915). משבגר מרדכי בנה את ביתו בפתח תקווה. הוא הצטרף למשטרת ישראל ושירת במשך שנים רבות במחלקת הבנייה של המשטרה, בשנותיו האחרונות היה אחראי על בניית תחנת המשטרה בנתניה. סמל ראשון מרדכי שוהם נפל בעת שירותו ביום כ"ג באלול תשכ"א (4.9.1961). בהיותו בחוף נתניה הוא שמע צעקות וחש להציל טובע, הצליח להצילו אך מרדכי עצמו נסחף ומת בין גלי הים. מרדכי היה בן ארבעים וחמש בנפלו. הוא הובא למנוחות בבית העלמין סגולה בפתח תקווה. הותיר אישה ושתי בנות. מרדכי מונצח באנדרטת חללי משטרת ישראל הנמצאת בקריית אתא.
