Incident
בן רחל ואהרון. יוסף נולד במצרים בי"ג בטבת תרצ"ה (19.12.1934). הוא גדל במצרים, ועלה למדינת ישראל בשנת 1951. יוסף הצטרף לשורות שירות בתי הסוהר (שב"ס) בחודש אוגוסט 1955. הוא השתלם בקורס סמלים ובקורס קשר ושירת ביחידות: שטה, השרון, דמון, עזה, איילון ואשמורת. דרגתו האחרונה בשב"ס הייתה סמל, והוא שימש בתור אפסנאי. במהלך שירותו נטל חלק במלחמת ששת הימים, בחודש יוני 1967. יוסף נישא לשושנה (לבית לחיאני), והיה אב לשמחה, לאהרון ולאברהם. הוא התגורר עם משפחתו בהרצליה. ביום שלישי כ"ח באדר תשל"ב (14.3.1972) נהרג סמל יוסף בתאונת דרכים, כאשר בדרכו לעבודה באשמורת רכב פרטי התנגש באוטובוס בו נסע. יוסף נפצע אנושות באוטובוס, הובהל לבית חולים אך שם נפטר כעבור זמן קצר. יוסף היה בן שלושים ושבע בנפלו. הוא הובא למנוחות בבית העלמין בהרצליה. הותיר אחריו אישה ושלושה ילדים. יוסף מונצח באנדרטה המרכזית לחללי שירות בתי הסוהר הנמצאת ברמלה.
