Incident

בן עליה ושלום. דוד נולד במרוקו בי"ח בתמוז תרצ"ד (1.7.1934). הוא למד בבית ספר יסודי במרוקו עד 1945 וכשהתבגר הצטרף לתנועת "נוער יהודי חלוץ". בשנת 1951 עלה דוד לישראל במסגרת עליית הנוער, והוא בן שבע-עשרה. עם הגיעו ארצה הצטרף עם מספר חברים לקיבוץ אילון. לאחר מספר חודשים התגייס לצבא ושירת בחיל השריון עד תחילת שנת 1954. לאחר שהשתחרר מהצבא עבד דוד בעבודות מזדמנות בקיבוץ והצטרף לגרעין אשר התכוון להתיישב באצבע הגליל. באותה עת התארס, אולם לא זכה להגיע למעמד חופה וקידושין. ביום 27.6.1955 התגייס דוד למשמר הגבול והוצב כלוחם בפלוגה ה'. מפקדו משה פחימה סיפר שהיה בחור בעל חוש הומור, נעים הליכות וממושמע. בעל משמעת עצמית וענייני. ביום ט"ו בתמוז תשט"ז (24.6.1956) נפל השוטר דוד בפעילות מבצעית. הוא היה חלק מכוח שעסק בפעילות בשטחים הפתוחים של קלקיליה שעל גבול ירדן, כאשר נפתחה לכיוונם אש מעמדת הלגיון הירדני. כתוצאה מהירי הוצת שדה הקוצים ודוד, אשר נפגע מירי מעמדת הלגיון, נהרג במקום. חברו ומפקדו יוסף אורן, אשר ניסה לסייע לדוד, נפגע אף הוא ונהרג. דוד היה בן עשרים ושתיים בנפלו. הוא הובא למנוחות בבית העלמין בחיפה.
